SmallHD has been making waves in the pro video market ever since the release of their DSLR friendly DP4 monitors in 2011. Fast forward to NAB 2014, and the North Carolina based company is now offering offering custom 3D LUTs and real time color correction abilities on their DP7 series of high definition field monitors. Users can import, edit, and export 3D LUTs (lookup tables) right from the monitor. The ability to alter the LUTs in-monitor, essentially means you can color grade in real time, and even pass the color corrected image downstream to client monitors. This is an impressive feature added via firmware update that makes this feature rich monitor that much more impressive.

The 3D LUT feature is currently available as a firmware update for the DP7-PRO, the DP7-PRO OLED, and the DP7-PRO High Bright. The color correction feature was announced at NAB 2014, and SmallHD anticipated it would become available in the coming months.
